U.S. Olympic Committee rolls out food-safety initiatives for athletes

The U.S. Olympic Committee has partnered with companies such as Kellogg and Tyson Foods to ship food to U.S. athletes competing in the 2008 Olympics, to be held in Beijing. The USOC hopes the initiative will quell concerns that athletes might have over China's food safety. The committee also created a diet plan consisting of less fat, reduced sodium and zero trans fats.
