Study: Multivitamins don't prevent cancer, heart disease

An eight-year study that included 161,808 postmenopausal women found taking a multivitamin didn't prevent cancer or heart disease. The results were similar to those found recently for men. Researchers advised people to get nutrients from whole foods, but said the findings don't mean that the vitamins are useless.
