Corps of Engineers offers $78.5M plan to control Asian carp

The Army Corps of Engineers joined several federal agencies to offer a $78.5 million plan to keep an invasive species out of the Great Lakes. The Asian Carp Control Strategy Framework calls for new flood barriers, as well as electric barriers to prevent the fish from swimming into the Great Lakes. DNA material from the Asian carp has been found in Lake Michigan.
