Ky. panel passes bill authorizing vets to report animal abuse

The Kentucky House Agriculture and Small Business Committee has approved a bill that would permit veterinarians in the state to report suspected animal abuse involving their clients. Rep. Jody Richards, D-Bowling Green, who sponsored the bill, said she "can't imagine a veterinarian abusing this very often because he wouldn't have many clients left if he did that."
