Psychiatric group seeks comments on diagnosis changes

The American Psychiatric Association is asking for comments from experts and the public on proposed changes to its diagnosis manual. The group wants to change "mental retardation" to "intellectual disability," add in diagnoses for behavioral addictions and binge eating, and allow a diagnosis for people at high risk of serious mental disorders such as schizophrenia.
