SBA, Obama administration encourage small-business lending

Small Business Administration chief Karen Mills spoke Monday during the International Franchise Association's convention in San Antonio about ways in which the agency is seeking to make lending easier to attain for small businesses. President Barack Obama has requested that Congress extend recovery act provisions for the agency's 7a and 504 Certified Development Company loan programs through the end of September.
