24/7 intensivist staffing does not affect ICU trainees, study says

More pediatric ICUs have intensivists scheduled around-the-clock and a Duke University Medical Center study found the practice does not adversely affect trainees. Dr. Kyle Rehder told SCCM's Critical Care Congress that critical care fellows have the same autonomy and educational experience and feel that continuous in-house coverage improved patient care.
