Emirates is testing live TV on Panasonic GCS

Emirates could equip its fleet of more than 100 Boeing 777 jets with in-flight entertainment, including live television, from Panasonic Avionics' Global Communications Suite, as it is testing the technology on one 777 jet. The airline will line-fit its A380s with the suite starting in the second quarter of 2014. The carrier offers OnAir's in-flight Wi-Fi service on its A380s and it's unclear if Emirates will retrofit those planes with the suite.
