Mintel sees confectionery opportunities in Brazil

Mintel predicts sales of gum and sugar confectionery in Brazil will grow 5% a year over the next three years as the country prepares to host the World Cup and the Olympic Games. Senior food analyst Jean Manuel Goncalves da Silva said tropical and dessert flavors are gaining traction as the target consumer shifts from children to young adults.
