Study looks at how users arrange their app icons

A team of German researchers has analyzed more than 1,400 screens from more than 130 users to determine how people organize their apps icons. Icon arrangements fall into five distinct patterns, with users grouping them most often by how much they use them, then by functionality, writes Sarah Perez.
