Arizona State University recruits veterans for teaching program

Arizona State University is boosting efforts to enroll veterans in its education program. The school's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, the College of Technology and Innovation and the Pat Tillman Veterans Center are together holding an open house next week to attract potential veteran students to the program and the education field, to which officials say they are often well-suited. "(Veterans) know that people don't succeed and get where they want to be without somebody teaching them and mentoring them," Capt. Steve Borden, director of the Tillman Center, said.
