FINRA might limit role of Wall Street vets in arbitration

The board of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority is scheduled Thursday to consider a proposal to prohibit anyone who has ever had ties to the financial industry from arbitrating disputes between investors and brokers, a source says. Instead, clients could have cases heard by a panel of three people with no previous ties with the industry, the source says.
