Reduced patient face time a concern among medical residents

An American Resident Project report showed limited time with patients was among the top three concerns cited by medical residents. Sixty-two percent of residents said managing time with patients was a greater challenge than they expected, while 53% said they found engaging patients in their own care more challenging than they anticipated. Researchers also found 80% of residents agreed that care coordination is key to managing chronic disease.
