Teacher's book explores influence of Teach for America program on schools

In her new book lessons to learn, Molly Ness says the Teach for America program, which recruits bright college graduates to teach in needy schools, has helped districts plug hard-to-fill vacancies and produced talented educational activists. To curb frequent turnover, however, she believes TFA participants should have to commit for five years, instead of two.
