John Deere buys Israeli irrigation company

John Deere & Company has agreed to buy Plastro Irrigation Systems Ltd. from Kibbutz Gvat, which owns 75.1% of the company. Plastro will use a loan from Deere to buy back its stake, which is publicly owned, then it will delist the company from the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. As part of the deal, Deere will continue to employ members of the kibbutz for 15 years.
