Researchers model how red blood cells eject nuclei

Researchers have modeled the process of how red blood cells eject nuclei in vitro in mice and plan to further investigate the process of red blood cell formation. The researchers were able to see how the cells divide, go through hemoglobin synthesis and lose their nuclei.
