San Diego chief to tackle new role earlier than expected

New San Diego superintendent Terry Grier will begin work three months ahead of his planned start date to get a jump on dealing with up to $80 million in budget cuts. "I want us to move away from discussions about yesterday," he said, regarding complaints about former superintendents. "There's a lot of bright, talented people here."
