Economists: Determining stimulus effect is difficult

The first noticeable indicators of the just-passed economic-stimulus package will be food stamp increases and extensions of unemployment benefits. President Barack Obama has said job creation is a primary and immediate goal of the stimulus, but delivering the 4 million promised jobs will take time. Judging the true effect of any stimulus is difficult, according to economists, because there is no point of comparison.
