New chief plans 15-year overhaul of Army Nurse Corps

The Army Nurse Corps' new chief has unveiled a 15-year plan to overhaul Army nursing, using lessons from Iraq and Afghanistan, the best nursing research, and new advances in the profession. Maj. Gen. Patricia D. Horoho wants to train nurse leaders to adapt to modern warfare's unpredictability and help nurses bring evidence-based practices to the bedside.
