Studies show gender disparities in treating strokes

Women who suffer strokes are more likely than men to experience delays in getting hospital care and are less likely to be treated aggressively, a series of studies found. One study also reported that only 64% of women in atrial fibrillation were on blood thinners to prevent stroke.
