Energy companies push for cap-and-trade system in climate bill


Shell Oil and Duke Energy are lobbying for a cap-and-trade scheme to be included in the Senate's climate legislation. They say it would generate thousands of jobs and modernize the energy economy. They suggest that such a system should start with power utilities, with standards for oil refineries and other sectors coming later.
