European airlines lobby for change to finance rule

Nine European airlines want to receive more government-backed export financing than allowed under the home-market rule, a U.S.-European agreement. Most other airlines are able to finance delivery of airplanes using export guarantees, they said. "The arrangement is unfair," said British Airways CEO Willie Walsh. "It clearly gives an advantage to those carriers that can access export credit."
