Ireland officials work to excite students about science education

Ireland's Minister for Education Batt O'Keeffe says the opening of the country's first science museum will help improve science education and inspire students to become scientists. O'Keeffe says the museum is an impetus for improving science education, and he is calling for an overhaul of the country's science and maths curriculum. "We want to change the attitudes to science and maths. We need to make them far more exciting within the school curriculum," he says.
