Popular green building uses more energy than predicted

The popularity of ImaginOn, the first green building in Charlotte, N.C., doubled its predicted energy use. ImaginOn draws 450,000 visitors a year instead of the 300,000 estimated, and uses its theaters and offices more frequently than projected. However, the LEED-certified building still saves 28.4% on energy costs compared with a standard building, slightly less than the 30% predicted.
