RFA: Calif. board's rejection of $11M for ethanol pumps "shortsighted"

Pearson Fuels is regrouping after a California regional board rejected $11 million in stimulus funds intended to subsidize construction of 55 ethanol pumps across the state. The loss of the funding is a blow to Pearson, which had to cut back work hours, said owner Mike Lewis. Matt Hartwig, communications director of the Renewable Fuels Association, said the board's decision to reject the funds was shortsighted.
