Stadium roof in Vancouver faces Olympic challenge

The white fabric roof of B.C. Place Stadium is facing an Olympic challenge in Vancouver, British Columbia. The air-supported dome is flattening from the weight of lights and speakers installed for the opening ceremony. That causes rainwater to pool on the roof, which is 27 years old. A roof panel inverted during a Jan. 14 rainstorm, causing a waterfall onto the stadium floor.
