Wireless carriers' networks came through the blizzard that attacked the Northeast over the weekend relatively unscathed. AT&T reported that the "vast majority" of the cell towers in the most heavily blanketed regions were unaffected, while Verizon Wireless said its network held up well and Sprint Nextel termed the damage "minimal." T-Mobile USA said only a small number of its sites had been hit hard. Wireline carriers also reported few outages following a storm that dumped up to 3 feet of snow on the region Friday and Saturday.
