Common core math class, exam prove challenging for Ga. students

Only about 40% of Georgia students who took a new statewide integrated math course aligned with the Common Core State Standards met end-of-course performance expectations. While the scores aren't ideal, education officials said they expected a dip and the results are similar to those in other states.
