FCC's TV-coverage changes may run afoul of Spectrum Act, NAB says

Broadcasters are requesting that the Federal Communications Commission put on hold its plan to alter the model determining TV station coverage areas and interference zones because the proposed changes may conflict with the law authorizing the incentive spectrum auctions. The NAB's Rick Kaplan and other officials met with the FCC on Thursday to discuss the potential conflict -- the auction authorization calls for the agency to preserve coverage and interference protections as determined by the current model.
