Railroads among firms preparing for potential new environmental rules

CSX is among several U.S. companies that are planning to cope with the implementation of potential new regulations on climate change. While restrictions on greenhouse gases may affect coal shipments, the railroad said the rules could also move freight away from long-haul trucks and onto more fuel-efficient rail transportation.
