Return of Wall Street travel extravagance is unlikely, expert says

An increased awareness over public perception will likely prevent the financial-services sector from raising travel spending despite market performance coming close to peak levels reached in 2008, says Bjorn Hanson, divisional dean of New York University's Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management. "Attitudes are different -- both public attitudes toward Wall Street but even attitudes on Wall Street about wanting to avoid the appearance of excess," Hanson said.
