Brazil's Stadium of the Dunes boasts sustainable features

Construction of the Arena das Dunas -- or the Stadium of the Dunes -- in Brazil has been completed ahead of schedule and under budget. The arena will be used as a venue for the Fédération Internationale de Football Association's World Cup to be held this year. The 42,000-seat stadium features a roof with petal-shaped modules that are integrated with the facade. The structure, which is designed to optimize the use of natural light and ventilation, is also equipped with rainwater harvesting system.
