ICU patients may not get correct antibiotic dose, study says

Data showed 21% of 361 ICU patients studied did not receive adequate antibiotic doses, Australian researchers reported in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases. The study found 16% of patients treated for infection did not meet the minimum dose midway through the dosing interval and that group was 32% less likely to have positive outcomes.
