Obama administration delays insurance mandate for medium firms to 2016

Employers with 50 to 99 workers will now have until 2016 to provide their employees with health insurance under new rules announced by the Treasury Department, which represent a two-year extension of the original deadline set forth in the Affordable Care Act. To avoid a fine in 2015, companies with 100 or more workers now need to offer coverage to 70% of full-time employees, instead of the 95% that was previously required.
