Microsoft Makes School Donation

CEO Steve Ballmer yesterday said that Microsoft will donate $50 million to educators to train teachers to use its products. A company spokeswoman said the donation is independent of the $1 billion in software, equipment and services the company may have to provide as part of its antitrust settlement. Microsoft trails Apple in the education market.
