Symbian, Sony Ericsson seek cheaper wireless prices

Mobile operators need to make wireless Internet services cheaper to appeal to more consumers, according to mobile-phone software maker Symbian and phone maker Sony Ericsson. Spokesmen for the companies said sales growth of handheld-connected computers and smartphones had slowed as people opted for cheaper handsets, using them mainly for voice calls.
