Study: Enhance CAD imaging by using 3-D echo, SPECT, algorithm

U.S. researchers found that the combined use of 3-D echocardiography, SPECT and a new automated image fusion algorithm helps improve the detection of coronary artery disease in patients. The results show that the hybrid approach yielded more accurate results than when either 3-D echocardiography or SPECT is used individually.
