Dow, DuPont set pace for global chemical sales

Dow Chemical and DuPont are ready to take advantage of growth in petrochemical demand globally. Dow Chemical in particular has pressed the advantage of an oversupply in the U.S., garnering a pre-recession earnings level this past quarter after increasing exports to Asia. Thomas Swift, the American Chemistry Council's chief economist, sees U.S. petrochemical production "coming back very sharply."
