White House predicts slow employment growth through 2011

The Obama administration delivered its first official economic report to Congress, forecasting slow job growth into next year. The lackluster growth would occur even if Congress passes the president's jobs bill, per the report. The fate of that bill remains uncertain. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., rejected a bipartisan version of the jobs bill Thursday.
