Air Canada calls launch of low-cost carrier a top priority

Air Canada is flying into the winds of opposition with a plan to create a low-cost carrier. But the airline says it won't let objections from its pilots association or other staff stand in the way. "We remain of the view that participation in that market segment is important to the airline," said Air Canada CEO and President Calin Rovinescu.
