Charter announces 13 nominees for Time Warner Cable's board

Charter Communications, as part of its bid to acquire Time Warner Cable, has put forth a 13-member slate for the latter's board of directors. The candidates include Lisa Gersh, ex-president of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia; Marwan Fawaz, a former top executive at Motorola Mobility; James Chiddix, a former chief technology officer at Time Warner Cable; and several names from the banking and private-equity sectors. Charter CEO Tom Rutledge said "now is the time" to make a deal, while Time Warner Cable CEO Rob Marcus countered that he would not allow Charter to "steal the company."
