Comcast to acquire Time Warner Cable in $45.2 billion deal

Comcast has agreed to buy Time Warner Cable in an all-stock $45.2 billion deal that values the latter company's share price at $158.82. The deal will boost Comcast's video-subscriber rolls to around 30 million, after an expected divestment of 3 million Time Warner Cable subscribers. The announcement by Comcast ends Charter Communications' pursuit of a Time Warner Cable takeover.
