PlaceIQ receives $15 million, will partner with VivaKi on location-based tools

Mobile advertisement technology startup PlaceIQ has raised $15 million in funding and will partner with VivaKi to collaborate on location-based advertising tools. PlaceIQ plans to use the financing to offer clients more advertising insights from the startup's database of location information, which is drawn from mobile location information, public social data and other sources.
