SEC taps NASAA lawyer as first investor advocate

The Securities and Exchange Commission has appointed Rick Fleming, deputy general counsel for the North American Securities Administrators Association, as the first person to head the Office of the Investor Advocate, which was established by the Dodd-Frank Act. He will assume the post Feb. 24.
