Maine, New York legislators call on restaurants to provide nutrition data

Two state bills introduced in Maine and New York would require restaurants to provide nutritional information on packaging or on menus. The National Restaurant Association says the proposed bill would make nutritional information useless since 70% of diners customize their meals. "Restaurants no longer have a cookie-cutter approach to how they serve their patrons," says Steve Anderson, chief executive of the association.
