Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain are including health care IT in their campaign platforms. Clinton says she will use technology to lower costs and improve care, Obama says he will provide funding for EHRs and McCain is focusing on telehealth. Still, one writer says the "plans are still a far cry from the idealized national network that the healthcare IT community has imagined."
