New studies link mother's immune response to regressive autism

Two new studies suggest repetitive behaviors characteristic of autism may be tied to the transfer of a pregnant woman's antibodies into the brain of the developing fetus. The link is especially close in autism's regressive form, in which children appear to develop normally before losing ground.
