AOPA seeking opportunities for "fly-outs"

After several years of bad weather for its annual fly-in, AOPA says this year it will take its show on the road, visiting aviation events around the country. The reason for the change is outreach rather than weather, according to media-relations director Chris Dancy, who notes that fly-in participants typically came from a 500-mile radius, leaving "an awfully large part of the country that we don't get to go out to and meet the membership."
