Chairman of Senate panel to hold broad review of SEC

U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., chairman of the Senate subcommittee on securities, said he will call in experts to a hearing to review the Securities and Exchange Commission. Speaking at a forum on hedge funds at the Brookings Institution, Reed said the agency did not go far enough with its new rules for credit rating agencies.
