Most teens treated for depression improve within 9 months

About 60% of teens treated for major depression improve within nine months, according to research published in the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Teens who received both antidepressant medications and cognitive-behavioral therapy tended to improve more quickly, the study found.
